As the title indicates, Sixty years of sacrifice and stuggle: a brief chonicle of trade union organisation in the Christchurch clothing industry accounts for the struggle for workers' rights and covers a brief history of the clothing industry unions.  It was published in 1939 and authored by James Thorn, one of the founders of the trade union movement in Christchurch.
