What are we fighting for?  was printed by Co-operative Press in Christchurchin 1939,  for the New Zealand Christian Pacifist Society. This pamphlet argues against various claims used to justify the Second World War. 

The author was Alun Richards, a pacifist and theologian. (The National Library notes that the author withdrew this work from sale in 1940.)
