The Riccarton Bush
The Riccarton Bush (1923) is a work compiled by Professor Arnold Wall from four articles which appeared in the Lyttelton Times during 1922. The catalogue of flowering plants and ferns of Riccarton Bush (pp 12-13) is a revised list from the work of Leonard Cockayne, Riccarton Bush (c.1906).
Arnold Wall offered the work to the Trustees of the Bush, which they declined as they were preparing their own work Riccarton Bush : a remnant of the Kahikatea swamp forest formerly existing in the neighbourhood of Christchurch, New Zealand, edited by Chas. Chilton (1924). Chilton edited another work Riccarton Bush Reserve (1950) which provides greater detail in the 'Plan of Riccarton Bush' than that found in the 1924 publication.
