After fifty years by trade unionist and journalist J.T. Paul was published in Christchurch, in 1940. The pamphlet covers the shift from a dangerous industrial past and the fight for emancipation of women workers in the tailoring trade to better conditions,  following the rise of the union movement in Christchurch.
