Technologies for Teaching and Learning
The technologies used for teaching and learning at Canterbury College have changed significantly over time. Although this selection of objects, which were once used every day, have since been replaced by modern developments, this collection reveals the ways in which academic information was recorded and communicated across different subject areas at the time. For some, these objects will be nostalgic reminders of time spent at Canterbury College, while for others the collection will provide insight about a not-so-distant period of history.
To have such a collection of objects suggests Canterbury College was well equipped with a broad range of current teaching and learning technologies to support the education of its students. While the physical nature of the artefacts is fascinating, the objects themselves also helped to preserve the influence of notable staff members whose legacies live on at UC to this day.
